Mother's Day Crochet Rose

There are not enough angels to take care of everyone in the world, so God created Mothers. Happy Mother's Day all!

Mother's Day is coming! I have a great pattern for you today. It's a Crochet Rose, this rose is realistic, It has stem and all! You can make a bunch of it and make a bouquet or omit the stem and make a brooch. You can combine colors I used red and maroon combo.

Materials:

4-ply worsted weight yarn ( I used maroon, dark green, green) one 18 grams of dark green and green, 2 of the maroon
Size F hook
1 Yard Dark green ribbon (size 1/4 inches)
Craft glue
Wooden skewers.

ABBREVIATION

ch-Chain

tr-Triple Crochet

dc-Double Crochet

ss-Slip Stitch

hdc-Half Double Crochet

sc-Single Crochet

ROSE

With F hook Color Maroon, ch 65

Row 1: dc in 6th chain from Hook, *ch3, skip 1 ch, dc in next ch*, repeat from * to * to end of chain 65.

Row 2: ch 3, turn work, in first ch 3-Loop of previous row make: 1 dc, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 1. In next ch 3-Loop make: *2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 1*, repeat from * to * in every ch 3-Loop.

Row 3:  ch 3, turn work, in ch 3-Loop you work: *7 dc, slip stitch into ch 1-Space*, repeat from * to * to end of row

Row 4: ch 1, turn work, slip stitch in every stitch

Fasten of leaving a long tail for sewing.

Now roll up the strip to form the rose and sew through the basic row to fasten.

SEPAL(star shape)

With F hook and dark green color, Start by making a magic loop

Row 1: ch 3, 2 dc into magic loop, ch 1. *3 dc, ch 1* for a total of 4 times. sl st into 3rd chain of first ch 3.

You should have 5 clusters of 3 dc with a ch 1 in between.

                           

Row 2: *ch 5, sc into 2nd chain from hook, hdc into 3rd ch from hook, dc into 4th ch from hook,

tr into 5th chain from hook. ss into next ch 1 space.* Repeat 4 more times. 

Bind off by making one more chain, cutting the yarn leaving a 3” tail, and pulling the loop out and tighten the chain. Sew the sepal on the base of the flower

Leaf  (Make 2)

With F hook and color green, ch 10.

 ss in the 2nd ch from hook, and in each of  next 2 ch, sc, hdc, dc, trc, dc, (hdc, 3 sc, hdc) in the final ch. Working along the opposite side of the beginning ch; dc, trc, dc, hdc, sc, 3 ss. Fasten off, Leave a long tail for assembly.

Assembly:

1. Put enough craft glue on the pointy part of skewer this is where you will attach the rose. Put the slip stitch part of the leaf on the skewer and wrap with the ribbon. 

2. Then do the same with the other leaf. continue to wrap the skewer with the ribbon until you reach the end.

3. Add craft glue at the pointy part of the skewer and attach the rose to the skewer.
